Multiple Sources Of
Quality Grains /Carbohydrates

PRISM® Nutrition Can Make A Difference

Quality protein, fat and carbohydrates, makes PRISM® a highly digestible, nutrient-dense premium formula your pet will love.

Animals, like people, require carbohydrates. In a true premium diet (meat meal based diet) however, an animal protein should be listed first on the ingredient panel. Corn or other carbohydrates, should be listed after the animal protein (except for specialty diets). Corn is listed first in the Maintenance Formula.

The quality carbohydrates used in PRISM® are all selected for
sound nutritional reasons; each makes a unique, yet vital
contribution to your pet's health.

Whole Ground Corn - is naturally high in linoleic / Omega 6 fatty acids. It is the base ingredient in many expensive coat and skin supplements. We use corn for its energy and carbohydrate
contribution, not as a protein source. According to leading nutrition and health texts, corn is not a leading cause of allergies. We purchase it fresh annually from area farmers.

Whole Ground Brown Rice - This is rice with the outer hull
removed, and retaining the bran/fiber layer. It is highly nutritious but humans prefer white rice due to its better taste.

Whole White Rice - This is Brown Rice with the bran layer
removed. Two inner nutritious layers remain. It is still very highly nutritious and not to be compared to rice flour which has far less nutritional value. It is more digestible than Brown Rice. Vets recommend feeding it to sick pets.

Other Quality Ingredients

Beet Pulp - Humans need fiber in their diets, as do dogs (and horses too). Silver Charm, the 1997 Kentucky Derby winner received beet pulp in its diet. Current research shows beet pulp, a prebiotic, aids the growth of good bacteria in the dog’s digestive system, allowing the good bacteria to crowd out the pathogens, like E.Coli.

Brewers Yeast - an excellent source of B-vitamins; numerous research studies show brewers yeast contains several unidentified growth factors beneficial to pets.
